Owner speaks : We bought Via Vita for the stability and comfort of the Lagoon 450, the perfect mix of cruising capability and practicality for live-aboard sailors. She is also the right size for a couple to handle and moor comfortably, even in tight marinas. We especially like the 450’s configuration, which connects the helm station with the guests sitting around the outside dining and lounge area, so whoever is helming is never cut off from the company. It also gives excellent visibility over the stern when Med mooring.The owner’s version gives us the luxury of a full hull to ourselves, including an office that my wife and I have both used extensively while working remotely. The Starlink Maritime package provides connectivity anywhere in the world, and the 5G router lets you use cheap local data in most cruising grounds. While it is usually just the two of us on board, the two comfortable ensuite guest cabins have meant our daughters could stay for weeks at a time, family could visit for a month or more, and friends could join us in various ports along the way for wonderful catch-ups while sailing. We bought Via Vita at the start of the 2024 cruising season. She had been carefully maintained by her previous owner, who was selling at the age of 79 to buy a trawler. Since then we have sailed the Mediterranean through the summer months and over-wintered in Cyprus. Via Vita has never been chartered, and the only captains she has had are my wife and I and her one previous owner. We have kept her in the same excellent condition we found her in, and all service records are available. We are selling because our personal circumstances have changed. We plan to spend more time outside Europe in the coming years.
