Owner speaks : We bought Ioda in 2019. At the time, our home port was Canet-en-Roussillon. We then spent four years sailing around the Mediterranean: the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy. We try to stick to off-the-beaten-track anchorages as much as possible, where our shallow draught allows us to anchor away from overcrowded anchorages.
In 2023, we sailed Ioda to our home port in northern Brittany at Aber Wrac’h.
We took the opportunity to spend two weeks exploring the magnificent region of Galicia.
From Aber Wrac’h, we explored northern Brittany as far as the Channel Islands and southern Brittany. Here too, we have unforgettable memories of anchoring in stunning bays (Batz, Bréhat, Sauzon, etc.) and sailing up the rivers of Brittany (Tréguier, Trieux, Auray, Vannes).
As we usually sail as a couple, we enjoy every comfort. The two aft cabins, the size of the saloon and the second bathroom mean we can accommodate our children and grandchildren during the holidays.
Ioda is very reassuring to sail; she sways very little in a breeze, and once she’s settled on her keel she remains very stable. The cutter rig greatly simplifies manoeuvres when the wind picks up.
Once again, a full centreboard is an undeniable asset in waters with a significant tidal range.
For us, regular maintenance is key to safety and successful cruises. That is why we have carried out a range of work, as detailed in the Ioda inventory: rigging, batteries, heating, etc.… » whole text » less text
