AO12 Safari: a 12 m coastal boat for passenger tours
New build to order. The first hull is in build and the first boat is expected to be finished in spring 2027, offered at a first-boat price. CE design category B is a design target.
The AO12 Safari is designed for open water: coastal tours, sightseeing, wildlife watching, diving trips, island water taxi routes and passenger transfer. Passengers sit forward of the helm on five bench rows, with nothing between them and the water.
Two deck configurations
Open deck: a T-top over the helm console, and the passenger deck open to the sky.
Hard-Top (Diver): a hardtop over the whole deck, the helm moved forward, cylinder racks, a transom ladder and a freshwater rinse shower.
Passengers
Designed for 20 passengers plus 2 crew. The same boat is documented for 12 or 20 passengers, depending on what a country’s rules allow.
Aluminium hull
11.99 m x 3.19 m, draught 0.6 m, 3,500 kg, payload 2,500 kg, 6 mm bottom plate, 500 l fuel. From EUR 145,000, excluding VAT. Engines are quoted separately.
HDPE hull available on request. No AO12 has been drawn in HDPE yet, so its figures and price are on application.
Engines
Inboard diesel (Yanmar) or outboards (Suzuki, Mercury, Yamaha), 400 to 700 hp. Design speeds with 12 passengers aboard: 400 hp 31 knots, 500 hp 34 knots, 600 hp 37 knots, 700 hp 40 knots. The boat can also be delivered ready for installation.
Standard equipment
Bow thruster, buoyancy compartments built into the hull, self-draining cockpit, hydraulic steering, tempered glass windshield, soft-covered benches, two crew seats with a bench behind them, 500 l fuel tank with gauge, navigation and deck lighting, search light, horn, two automatic bilge pumps, railings, fender profile, swimming ladder.
