This characterful Molenmaker & Mantel Kotter Motorsailer from 1992 combines the appearance of a classic sailing ship with the comfort and practical benefits of a motor yacht. Built by the Dutch shipyard Molenmaker & Mantel in Sneek, the Quest features a solid steel, joggled round-bilge hull with a continuous keel.
The powerful, 100 hp six-cylinder Perkins diesel engine ensures comfortable sailing characteristics. The current owner, only the ship’s second owner, has performed the annual engine maintenance himself. Thanks to the bow thruster and double helm station, the ship can be sailed in all conditions.
The recent paintwork is noteworthy. In the winter of 2025/2026, the underwater hull was treated with SigmaCover 280 and Hempel Hempatic Hi-Build. The hull and superstructure were also repainted with International products, and the decks were fitted with International Interdeck.
The current owner has owned the vessel for 23 years and sailed with both masts for the first year, after which he removed them to use the ship as a motorboat. The complete ketch rigging, including four sails, is still present but must be inspected before reuse.
With her sheltered open aft cockpit, spacious saloon, warm interior, and comfortable accommodation, this cutter is ideal for relaxing and longer boating holidays.… » whole text » less text
