The 1997 Wauquiez Centurion 48 S is a renowned offshore cruising yacht, celebrated for her exceptional build quality, structural strength, and outstanding sailing performance. Powerful, perfectly balanced, and remarkably smooth at the helm, she offers reassuring behavior in open seas while maintaining excellent performance both upwind and downwind.
This 3-cabin / 3-heads version provides a spacious and comfortable layout, equally suited for offshore passages and life at anchor. The solid wood interior joinery reflects Wauquiez’s craftsmanship and attention to detail, offering a premium finish along with excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. The teak deck adds both elegance and safety underfoot.
The 90 HP Yanmar engine underwent a major overhaul in 2025, including replacement of the heat exchanger, turbocharger, exhaust elbow, shaft seal, and propeller shaft. Seacocks and through-hulls were replaced in 2025, along with refurbishment of the stern tube. Antifouling completed in 2025. Standing rigging has been renewed. The battery bank was replaced in 2023 (8 batteries total). Bow thruster for easy maneuvering. Electric winches both forward and in the cockpit.
Generous tank capacities make her ideal for long-range cruising: 900 L freshwater, 360 L fuel, and 60 L holding tank. With a 1.80 m draft, she offers an excellent balance between sailing performance and access to anchorages.
A turnkey bluewater yacht, meticulously maintained and ready to sail. Ideal for Mediterranean cruising, Atlantic passages, or even a world voyage. A model highly regarded for her durability, reliability, and long-term value.… » whole text » less text
